Forklift Operator Staffing

Forklift Operators, Checked Before the First Shift

Under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act, an operator must be trained on the truck they drive, and the employer has to be able to show it. When an operator quits or calls in sick, a warehouse cannot simply put anyone on the truck.

Supreme Employment sends forklift operators whose certification we have checked. Tell us the truck type (counterbalance, reach truck, order picker or pallet jack), the shift and the start date, and we fill temporary, temp-to-hire and permanent roles.

  • Certification checked before placement
  • Days, afternoons and nights covered
  • Temporary, temp-to-hire and permanent operator roles

How It Works

Call 647-295-5358 or send the form with the truck type, the shifts and the number of operators. We send a short list or the confirmed workers, and confirm each one the night before a new placement.

We handle payroll, vacation pay and WSIB for temporary operators. If a placement does not work out within 30 days, we replace the worker at no cost.

Questions

Forklift Staffing Questions

Do your operators hold a forklift certificate?

We check each operator’s certificate and ask which truck types it covers before we send them. Ontario law also expects the employer to give site-specific training, so we tell you what each operator has and you complete the familiarization on your floor.

How fast can you send a forklift operator?

Tell us the truck type, shift and number of operators and we give you a realistic timeline when you call. Many requests are filled within 24 to 48 hours.

Which truck types can you cover?

Counterbalance, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks and stackers. Tell us the truck and the rack height so we match the right operator.

Who handles payroll and WSIB?

We do for temporary operators. Supreme Employment is the employer of record, so wages, vacation pay and WSIB premiums are on our side, and you receive one invoice.

Can an operator be hired permanently?

Yes. We fill temporary, temp-to-hire and permanent roles. With temp-to-hire you see the operator on the job first and then move them to your payroll.
